On my way to the Canary Islands i got stuck for 2 days in Porto, Portugal. Not the worst place in the world to get stuck I think so… 🙂  And what do you do ? Well you dump you luggage at the airport and take a ride to the city. And to the Ribeira area to be precise. The Ribeira Area is an area below the famous Luis Bridge. Railway and pedestrian on to and below cars. And from that bridge you have amazing city views…. Really. Back to Ribeira. It is an area full on the river and it boasts some fine restaurants, bars, entertainment and some boats as well. Really you can spend a whole day here. The narrow streets, the architecture, the buildings. It all comes together in one way or the other.
