Like Schilthorn, Zermatt is also a world class location. Hiking around and in the Zermatt area is wonderful. From many points you have a good sight on the famous Matterhorn. The ride up with the Gonergrat Berg Bahn (mountain train) is also very nice and you have spectacular views from the train. Those spectacular views get even better once you are at the top and start hiking !
