Gorges Areuse Updated !

New shots from Gorges Areuse, Neuchatel. Last weekend I was with friends at Creux du Van and we also visited the beautiful Gorges Areuse again. This time we started at Boudry instead of Noiraigue. The weather was nice with lots of overcast so less highlight clipping for the photos 🙂 I also brought a tripod, did some HDR shots and I think they all came out very nice. At Pont de Clees we spent more than 1 hour shooting. At a point you just cannot stop anymore. There is so much detail: water streams, stones, beautiful trees, a near unreal landscape…  Here is a link to my older post with photos of the complete route.

Photography

This time I took all the right equipment with me. Tripod, CPL, ND filter, wide angle zoom, remote. 🙂 I also had a clear vision of what I wanted to shoot and how. Since I had the tripod with me I could do some long exposure shots giving you that nice flowing water. So why not experiment a bit ? Long exposure and HDR ? Large aperture ? Did it all 🙂 Some HDR shots were done with F22 and 1/6 shuttera and ISO 200.  However, there was a little wind so some of the foliage is moving and not sharp. But the overall result of the photo is still good.

I used Photomatix Pro to do the HDR shots, then imported them in LR and processed them there. Color adjustments were done in Photoshop.
