The Azores are a group of Islands belonging to Portugal and located in the Mid-Atlantic. The archipelago consists of 9 volcanic islands. The temperature is mild all year round, between 16 and 26 degrees. In summer temperatures can reach above 30 degrees. Location wise, the Azores are about 1400km west of Lisbon. Agriculture and now, tourism are the main jobs on the islands. 

The islands are green, and i mean green. If you like hiking and trekking, this is your place. Like Madeira, the Azores offer great peaks with stunning landscape scenery. Even in the rain and on (heavy) overcast days it is still nice to go out. Waterfalls, dramatic rock formations, beach, lush green forests, fog, clouds, the Azores offers it all.
