I went to Holland (the Netherlands) for a quick visit to my family and some friends. In the past, I’ve spent a lot of time at Scheveningen Beach. So time to visit Scheveningen again after 14 years….
Actually little has changed at Scheveningen Beach. For me, the only notable differences were the sprayed up beach and the Pier. Still, even on this very sunny and very cold day in December, it was nice to be there. Just to let the good old memories of great times come back. In summer, the boulevard side of the beach is full with beach clubs and restaurants. Places to stay all day long…… and enjoy the summer. 🙂
A good place to make photos is on the roof of the Pier. It’s open all year and for free 🙂
The beach in Scheveningen is in no comparison with the tropical beaches where I have lived. But this beach has its own charm. The sand, the water, the wideness of the beach… Even with high tide there is still enough beach for everybody in Holland to enjoy. Can’t say that of the many tropical beaches i’ve visited…. 🙂
Anyway enough with these comparisons. Below is a small winter beach impression. I hope you like it. 🙂
As always: all photos done with Fujifilm X systems and lenses. Hoya and B&W CPL filters, post processed in LR and PS.
