Zanzibar is an island off the coast of Tanzania and belongs to Tanzania as well. Zanzibar is a tropical island, surrounded by clear blue waters and ringed with white sandy beaches. Sounds like the perfect paradise isn’t it ? Well look further and you see that that ‘paradise’ is a world full of very hard contrasts between rich and wealthy foreign tourism and dirt poor local living.
